Billboard interviewed “The Last Guitar God” Eddie Van Halen and got an earful. Van Halen threw major shade at former bandmates David Lee Roth and bassist Michael Anthony. Van Halen said “Roth’s perception of himself is different than who he is in reality.” Van Halen wants Roth to “act like you’re 60.” He believes Roth should be more like him. “I stopped coloring my hair, because I know I’m not going to be young again.” Sad, but true, Eddie.
On his former bandmate, bassist Michael Anthony, Van Halen compared his voice to a piccolo trumpet and said “Every note Mike ever played, I had to show him how to play.” Van Halen will kick off a 22-city tour this summer in July.
