Who Is Jackson Oz’s Dead Father on ‘Zoo’?

On the TV show Zoo, based on James Patterson’s thrilling novel of the same name, young scientist Jackson Oz is working as a safari guide in Africa. After witnessing a series of violent animal attacks, Jackson starts to think that his late father’s theory about animals turning on humans is becoming a reality.

Jackson is portrayed by James Wolk. Jackson’s father is portrayed by Ken Olin. Olin is best known for his role as Michael Steadman on the 1980s TV hit show Thirtysomething. More recently he starred in Brothers & Sisters (David Caplan). He’s also found success behind the camera directing shows including Felicity and The West Wing. Olin is married to actress Patricia Wettig (also of Thirtysomething and Brothers & Sisters). Zoo airs Tuesdays at 9pm on CBS.
