Both these Super Bowl states have rich craft beer cultures, even if a few of their microbrews have become so popular they’re rather large operations. There are hundreds of small batch craft brewers in Washington and Massachusetts–especially in Boston and Seattle–but Sam Adams and Redhook ESB are the homegrown beers most likely to be imbibed by locals who aren’t just drinking Bud Light and Coors Light on Super Sunday.
Sure, Redhook is so popular it now has a brewery in Patriots country–Portsmouth, New Hampshire. (But forget about that today!) And Sam Adams is everywhere–and maybe paying the price for its ubiquity. But both brews were early successes in the now super-crowded craft brew sector–and they each have their very loyal followings. Plenty of bottles of Redhook and Sam Adams are going to be lifted–and lifted often–today as Russell Wilson and Tom Brady do their thing in Arizona.
