“The Real” talk show host Adrienne Bailon, former girlfriend of Rob Kardashian, announced that she’s engaged to her boyfriend Lenny Santiago. Santiago is an A&R executive at Jay Z’s Roc Nation. He finds new talent and turns them into stars. His latest star is hip hop artist Fabolous who just released “The Young OG Project” — and he’s killing it. It’s available on tape, CD and even vinyl. Santiago is a straight up business man. He knows the business, and he’s been with Jay Z since 1996.
The most interesting thing about Santiago is his passion for photography. When he first got into the biz and went on tour with Jay Z (yes, that’s the third time we mentioned him), Santiago took pictures — lots of them. They were amateur (labors of love), but they were shots no one else had and now they’re gold. Santiago has said that back in the day (in the mid 1990s), The Source bought 16 of the 20 photographs he showed them. They paid $300 each. “That was a lot of money back then.” If Santiago’s boring it’s Pete Sampras-style boring. Somebody once asked the tennis star, who was less demonstrative than his peers, if he was boring. Sampras nipped that in the bud: “I’m not boring. I have my own jet.”
