Actress Calista Flockhart (Brothers & Sisters) became a star with the hit TV series Ally McBeal. She played the title character – a young, very single, up-and-coming attorney in Boston who deals with eccentric co-workers, clients and dancing babies. But that was 15 years ago. Flockhart will star opposite 26-year-old Melissa Benoist (Whiplash, Glee) in the CBS pilot Supergirl, based on DC Comics comic books. Flockhart will play Cat Grant, Supergirl’s (Benoist’s) boss. In the most recent comic books, Cat Grant openly flirts with Clark Kent (Superman) and “implies that she has had breast implants.” Lois Lane jokes about Cat Grant being “a cougar.”
