The world’s favorite police commissioner (sorry, Bill Bratton), Tom Selleck says he’s been saluted by real NYPD officers on the New York City streets. Sitting with fellow Blue Bloods cast members and executive producer Kevin Wade, Selleck–who plays larger-than-life NYC Police commissioner Frank Reagan–told a welcoming audience that the show has meant an enormous amount to him. It’s had a real emotional impact.
“My favorite reactions, the ones I get quite touched with, are getting salutes from real cops,” Selleck said. Blue Bloods is on Fridays at 10 p.m. ET on CBS. The interview panel was part of the second annual Paleyfest at the Paley Center For Media, named in honor of William S. Paley, CBS founder.
