A Russian tennis official was fined and banned by the Women’s Tennis Association after he referred to the William sisters, Venus and Serena, as the “Williams brothers” in what was perceived as a sexist slur. Tennis great Martina Navratilova thinks the International Tennis Federation can–and should–do more. “Certainly this kind of bullying comment cannot be tolerated from anyone, but particularly from a high up official in the tennis world,” Navratilova said.
Serena Williams also “thought [the comments] were in a way bullying,” she added.
