Former child star Soleil Moon Frye (Punky Brewster) runs a startup called Moonfrye that caters to working moms. Frye, a busy mother of three (Jagger, Poet, Lyric), knows how to juggle but is always open to suggestions to help save time. Her company’s latest product is a party planning app called P.S. XO, which is a free download on iTunes.
From creating the invitations to shopping for decorations to writing thank you cards, P.S. XO helps moms do it all from one place. There are other websites that provide similar services (Paperless Post, Evite, Tiny Prints) but P.S. XO is a mobile-first user experience. How does Frye have time to run a startup with four girls? With the help of some rich friends who like a good party. Moonfrye has taken in $3.6 million in outside funding.
