Actor Richard Gere (American Gigolo, Pretty Woman) is divorcing his wife of 11 years, Carey Lowell. Lowell was a model for big designers including Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein before breaking into acting. She went on to roles including Bond girl Pam Bouvier in the James Bond movie License to Kill. She also starred in the TV drama Law & Order as Assistant District Attorney Jamie Ross.
The media report that since September 2013, the couple that once practiced Tibetan Buddhism together has been living separately. For the past six months, Gere has been dating Top Chef model-turned-TV persona Padma Lakshmi. US Weekly confirms that they have now split, too.
