Lifetime is calling its new reality TV show, Prison Wives Club, a docuseries. The show follows four women who have fallen in love with and remain married to convicted felons. The spouses are serving sentences ranging from 10 years to life. The “club” is meant to work like a support group, to help each other figure out “how to behave as a wife on the ‘outside’” but, as you can imagine, they don’t always agree things.
Each woman lives a very dramatic life. Ana met her husband online; she thought he was in prison for life but parole is now possible. Now she has to tell her family she’s married — they think he’s a prison guard! And LaQuisha fell in love with a man serving 60 years for murdering a pregnant woman. Prison Wives Club, which premieres Tuesday, October 28 at 10pm on Lifetime, is produced by Jennifer O’Connell of The Real Housewives of New York City and Bethenny Ever After.
