KISS rocker Gene Simmons is promoting his new book, Me, Inc.: Build an Army of One, Unleash Your Inner Rock God, Win in Life and Business. The book is bound in black imitation leather with gold foil stamping and comes with a black ribbon bookmark. Since managing the band with Paul Stanley, Simmons has proven himself a savvy businessman. They’ve sold over 100 million KISS CDs and DVDs, and oversee more than 3,000 licensed merchandise items. Simmons says he does everything without a personal assistant, and that he was inspired by the book The Art of War.
At a book signing this week, at a Barnes & Noble store in downtown Manhattan, Simmons kept yelling “Turn on the music!” PageSix reports that “like a bad joke they played Peter Criss.” According to Simmons, Criss was fired from the band, three times.
