Cheryl Cole, the “Crazy Stupid Love” British pop star is now the most “dangerous” celebrity to search for on the Internet. According to anti-virus software maker McAfee, an online search for the 31-year-old X Factor judge “puts Internet users at a 15% risk of being directed to a malicious website.” Is it a coincidence that Cole changed her name? She now goes by Cheryl Fernandez-Versini. (She was married to Chelsea footballer Ashley Cole but got remarried this summer to Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini, hence the name change.)
Other dangerous celebrities in the UK include: Harry Potter’s Daniel Radcliffe, soccer hunk David Beckham, One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles, and singers Lily Allen and Rita Ora. Beware fans of UK pop culture. McAfee pros say: Cybercriminals can exploit this desire for breaking celebrity news, leading consumers to sites that download harmful malware onto their devices and compromise personal data.”
