On Basketball Wives, after all the drama unfolds at Saniy’yah’s party, Shaunie O’Neal, Evelyn Lozada, Bonnie-Jill Laflin, and Hazel Renee meet for dinner at Sushi Roxx. There, Hazel explains that dating a professional athlete nowadays is different. According to Hazel, back in the day, an athlete would marry their high school or college girlfriend and have a side chick on the down low but now everything’s out in the open — you have your girlfriend and your side chick, and everyone just goes with it.
Hazel Renee, 29, is a former National American Miss Teen Michigan, an actress (Kennedy on Season 3 of Empire, April 2017), and the mother of Olive, daughter of international basketball player Jacob Pullen (Kansas State, Russian club Khimki). Hazel recently appeared on The Real Housewives of Atlanta with her friend Kandi Burruss (see below). Basketball Wives airs Mondays at 9pm on VH1.
