Amazon Originals topped Netflix for the first time in Golden Globe nominations this year, beating its streaming rival 11 to 6 with the help of five nominations for Kenneth Lonergan‘s highly regarded Manchester by the Sea, which Amazon bought the rights to after Sundance raved. Beating Netflix in Golden Globes is for Amazon a bit like if Amazon founder Jeff Bezos‘ other big project — Blue Origin Space Exploration — beat Elon Musk’s SpaceX.
Here are the must see Amazon Originals that pushed Amazon over the top:
Mozart in the Jungle (2 Golden Globe nominations)
Transparent (2 Golden Globe nominations)
Goliath (1 Golden Globe nomination)
The Salesman (1 Golden Globe nomination)
Manchester by the Sea (5 Golden Globe nominations)
