In the Code Black episode ‘Sleight of Hand’, while Drs. Ethan Willis (Rob Lowe) and Leanne Rorish (Marcia Gay Harden) and Jesse Sallander (Luis Guzmán) operate on an injured officer who has an explosive bullet lodged in her leg, Drs. Mario Savetti (Benjamin Hollingsworth), Noa Kean (Emily Tyra) and Rollie Guthrie (William Allen Young) treat a magician who comes to Angels Memorial Hospital with breathing difficulties.

The magician is real-life magician Penn Jillette of Penn & Teller fame. Jillette has appeared on several TV shows including Scorpion (Dr. Cecil Rizzuto), Modern Family (Edward LeGrand), The Drew Carey Show (Archibald Fenn) and Sabrina, the Teenage Witch (Drell), among others. Jillette is also a director of horror films including his 2016 Director’s Cut with Missi Pyle and Harry Hamlin. Code Black airs Wednesdays at 10pm on CBS.
