Like most people, all three acts have been affected by cancer personally. Keith Urban lost his father Robert to cancer last year. [Urban's song 'Gone Tomorrow (Here Today)' on his album Ripcord is inspired by the passing of his father.] Little Big Town’s Jimi Westbrook lost his sister Joyce Marie to cancer late last year too. The executive producer of the telethon, Oscar-winning actor Bradley Cooper also lost his father Charles to cancer in 2011.
