Get ready to see more of Hollywood movie star Reese Witherspoon (Legally Blonde, Big Little Lies, Cruel Intentions). The Oscar winner (Walk the Line) is on the cover of Harper’s BAZAAR‘s August Performance issue.
Witherspoon talks to the fashion, lifestyle and celebrity magazine about being she being “a crusader for correcting or upending the entrenched Hollywood systems that have excluded and exploited women.”
Harper’s BAZAAR quotes Witherspoon, who also spoke about her media and production company Hello Sunshine, saying it “was created around the idea that media was largely dominated by male voices and male perspectives, so to be able to create opportunities where women are telling their stories in their own words, you’re just getting a better perspective of the human experience.”
With the interview comes a series of high-fashion photos including the shot above of Witherspoon flaunting her shapely legs in a tiny mini skirt (by Italian design house Valentino) which appears to be made out of silk roses. (The platform sandals are by Sergio Rossi.)
Witherspoon’s fans and famous friends are going wild over the photo shoot. When fellow Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow (Shakespeare in Love) saw the photo, she replied: “Really beautiful.”
