GOP presidential candidate Chris Christie is talking a big game about holding Donald Trump to account. Newly released video from Fox News makes it apparent that Christie might best follow journalist Bret Baier‘s lead on the Trump interrogation front.
Fox and Trump have had a falling out — Trump even knocks Fox’s ratings during the interview — and it looks like the network is now more interested in asking the former President challenging questions about his actions that led to his indictment on 37 federal charges.
U.S. Congressman from California Eric Swalwell saw the clip below and asserted that “Trump just confessed to Fox News that he stole and shared classified materials.”
Well that’s that. Trump just confessed to Fox News that he stole and shared classified materials. https://t.co/W35ZgpT0V9

Asked by Baier why he didn’t just return the boxes, Trump offered up that it was essentially a matter of housekeeping that he was too busy to do. Even after he first refused and was subsequently subpoenaed to turn over the materials, Trump still didn’t comply, according to the indictment.
“Why not just hand them over then?” Baier asks.
Trump replied: “Because I had boxes, I want to go through the boxes and get all of my personal things out. I don’t want to hand that over to [the national archives] yet, and I was very busy as you’ve sort of seen.”
Baier: “Yeah, but according to the indictment, you then tell this aide to move to other locations after telling your lawyers to say you’d fully complied with the subpoena when you hadn’t.”
Trump repeats that “before I send boxes over I have to take all of my things out.”
Baier also hits Trump with a long list of supporters he’s lost, while unsubtly emphasizing the unstatesmanlike name-calling that Trump engages in as the relationships break apart.
