On the dramatic Season 6 premiere of The Good Doctor, ‘Afterparty,’ Shaun (Freddie Highmore) and Lea’s (Paige Spara) long-awaited wedding reception is interrupted by a violent attack at the hospital and the entire team must mobilize to save the victims.
In the attack, Dr. Audrey Lim (Christina Chang) is hurt. When Shaun finds her on the floor, in a pool of blood and is asked if she’s dying, he answers, “yes.”
As seen in the sneak peek video above, the trauma of seeing people Shaun cares for in life-threatening situations is affecting him in more ways than one. ABC captioned the video, “St. Bonaventure is in need of a hero tonight.”
The Good Doctor airs Mondays at 10 pm on ABC, right after the two-hour show Bachelor in Paradise at 8 pm.
