The Greek Freak and two-time NBA MVP GIannis Antetokounpo led the Greek national team to victory over Belgium yesterday, thundering down dunks in the sold-out OAKA Arena in Athens on his way to 26 points and 7 rebounds. Greece topped Belgium 85-68.
Giannis assured fans it was a “Great win and energy at OAKA.” He may have been understating things, as you can see in the video below. The game announcers brought their energy too, with Giannis obliging by making some “NBA2K moves right there.”
The OAKA set an attendance record for the FIBA World Cup game, with an official total of 19,443 in the seats.

Greek basketball is on a roll and it’s not surprising to see so many people fired up about the team. After all, there’s more than one Antetokounmpo to appreciate! Alex, Kostas, and Thanasis Antetokounmpo join their more famous brother on the national team.
It’s a fact that has the opponent very often seeing double — and not liking it.
