All parents understand, if they are paying attention, that children are the great teachers and that knowledge between a parent and child travels a reciprocal path. The actress Kim Basinger was terrifically articulate in laying this out when she praised her daughter Ireland Baldwin, the model, on her birthday this week.
Kim quoted the poet Kahlil Gibran and added, addressing her daughter Ireland, “I am so blessed to have been chosen by God and the universe to have received you…the best teacher I could have ever been paired with…”
Praising Ireland as a “joyful celebrator” and “gifted communicator,” mom Kim wishes the beautiful Ireland a “happy happy happy” birthday in a moving tribute. Fans, of course, were just as struck by the resemblance of mother and daughter, especially as Ireland grows into her more mature adulthood.
Yes, Ireland has always been a stunning beauty, but it seems that, like her mom, she’s going to add even more wattage as she goes!
