Charles Barkley thinks the NBA restart scheduled for Orlando this summer is in trouble from the get-go. “This pains me to say,” Barkley says, “because obviously I love my players, I love my job at TNT, and obviously I got a great deal of respect and admiration for (NBA commissioner) Adam Silver…”
That’s how Barkley begins. And then comes the signature Barkley brutal honesty.
“Honestly I don’t think we got any chance of finishing this thing (the restarted NBA season),” Barkley says. “The way this thing (coronavirus pandemic) is spiking. And obviously Florida is the worst spot in the world right now and we’re taking 22 NBA teams to the hotspot.”
Barkley continues: “The chances of us going three months and not having an outbreak. I just think that’s impossible.”
