American Idol is fired back up again and the three superstar judges (Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie) are on a roll — literally! Katy Perry skates into the scene below, drops to her knees (probably on purpose!) and then dramatically rises up with an absolutely crushing vocal that slays the Whitney Houston hit “I Wanna Dance With Somebody.”
The scene is great imagery, yes, with Katy in a skin tight sparkling full bodysuit — and on skates! But all of that is just a distraction for true fans who are mesmerized by that voice — Katy Perry totally slays the vocal performance.
As one less distracted fan writes simply: “the vocals !!!!” Here’s Whitney Houston for you below. She — and you had better believe it — wants to feel the heat with somebody. Katy Perry too, even if it’s not Luke Bryan!
