On this season of My 600-lb Life, the cameras follow Gina Krasley, a 28-year-old woman who weighs 606 lbs. She lives in New Jersey with her wife Beth, her sister, her sister’s fiancé Keith, and her mother Cathy. According to TLC, Gina’s sister and mother blame Beth for Gina’s spiraling weight problem — although it’s Beth who brings Gina to Houston to meet with Dr. Now. Gina is tasked with losing 50 lbs. in order to be eligible for surgery. It’s not easy.
On social media, Gina is promoting her YouTube channel, Just Gina MK.
In June 2019, she posted the video below which Gina calls “The Git Up Challenge”, where she gets up out of her chair and dances (in a crop top) to the song “The Git Up Remix” by Blanco Brown featuring Ciara.
She explains in the video, “Just two years ago I was immobile so being mobile and being able to do this and have fun and dance…” clearly makes her happy and her subscribers love seeing her confidence. One wrote: “Get it girl!!! Doing something for yourself and inspiring others at the same time!”
