Dwight Howard Flaunting New Supervillain Look For Lakers

NBA star Dwight Howard relaunched his Instagram account on August 29 to announce that he’s returning to the Los Angeles Lakers for his 16th season. (He played with Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol and Steve Nash during the 2012-2013 season.)

The 6’11” charismatic pro basketball player who once donned a Superman cape is now rocking a new superhero look in LA. The 33-year-old captioned the photo below, “Thanos is coming.”

Thanos, of course, is the muscular supervillain in the Marvel Comics and movies including The Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy. Oscar-nominated actor Josh Brolin plays the warlord on the big screen.

The LA Lakers play the Golden State Warriors for a NBA preseason game on Saturday, October 5 at 8 pm on TNT.
