The new CBS sitcom Bob (Hearts) Abishola, is about an overweight white businessman named Bob (Billy Gardell) who falls for his cardiac nurse Abishola (Folake Olowofoyeku), a Nigerian immigrant, while recovering after a heart attack. When not trying to woo Abishola, Bob runs the family business, MaxDot, a manufacturer of compression-socks.
Bob’s mother Dottie is portrayed by Broadway star Christine Ebersole, who won a Tony Award for Grey Gardens. She’s also known for her roles on TV shows including Blue Bloods (Eddie Jenko’s mother), Madam Secretary (First Lady Lydia Dalton), and in films including The Wolf of Wall Street (Leah Belfort), Richie Rich (Regina Rich), and Amadeus (Katerina Cavalieri), among others.
