In the Season 8 premiere episode of Basketball Wives, executive producer and ex-wife of NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal, Shaunie O’Neal, was taking her 6’9″ son Shareef O’Neal to the hospital for open heart surgery. Like any mother, she was beyond nervous. At the time, before the surgery, Shaunie said: “I have really bad moments by myself.” The good news is Shareef, who will be a sophomore at UCLA, has recovered well, thanks to his mother who was at his side from day one.
Shareef is showing his love and admiration of his mother by getting a tattoo of her face on the back of his leg. When Shaunie shared the video of the tattoo, which was inked by Canadian tattoo artist Steve Wiebe, she wrote “Speechless.”
Shareef has a tattoo of his dad while a Laker, too.
