One of the most popular dads on Instagram is David Beckham. The handsome footballer legend and husband of Posh Spice Victoria Beckham is celebrating Father’s Day this year by sharing a video (ad) he made with his father Ted. While sipping his Haig Club Whisky, Beckham’s dad tells him how proud he is of him, “You turned out exactly how I wanted you too.”
Beckham says when he became a parent, it changed him in so many different ways. He admits, “I remember the minute Brooklyn was born, I slept with my head against the door because I was so worried someone was going to come in.” Brooklyn is David and Victoria Beckham’s eldest child, who was born in 1999, when Beckham was part of the Manchester United team that won the treble of the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League.
It’s a strange admission but it’s winning the hearts of Beckham’s 56 million followers. Brooklyn Beckham is now 20 but as his father says, “I don’t think it ever changes, worrying about your kids,” his father agrees. The tagline for the Haig Club Whisky commercial is: “For the dads who make their own rules.”
