After a fun trip to Hawaii, the Top 20 contestants of American Idol are back in Los Angeles getting ready to perform their solo performances. At the legendary venue The Wiltern, they’ll sing their hearts out in front of judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan. While Jeremiah Lloyd Harmon sings the poetic Bob Dylan song “(To) Make You Feel My Love,” Laci Kaye Booth puts her country twist to the Cheap Trick song “I Want You To Want Me.”
Booth, the 23-year-old college student (Sam Houston State University) from Livingston, Texas, knows what works. After wowing everyone with her acoustic version of “Georgia On My Mind,” (Katy Perry said after the performance, “She is the definition of diamond in the rough), Booth is back on stage with her acoustic guitar for the 1977 power pop Cheap Trick song.
