In The Cool Kids episode “Margaret Ups Her Game,” while Hank (David Alan Grier) tries to sell his erotic vampire novel with the help of Sid’s (Leslie Jordan) cousin, Margaret (Vicki Lawrence) tries to shake off clingy Leonard so she can date long-haired, ponytail-wearing Gene (Patrick Duffy, Dallas). But getting rid of Leonard won’t be easy.
Leonard is portrayed by Stephen Tobolowsky. He’s known for his roles on The Goldbergs and Schooled (Earl Ball), One Day at a Time (Dr. Leslie Berkowitz), Silicon Valley (Jack Barker), The Mindy Project (Marc Shulman), Californication (Stu Beggs), Glee (Sandy Ryerson), and in a variety of films including Groundhog Day (Ned, photo below), Single White Female (Mitchell Myersno), Memento (Sammy Jankis), Basic Instinct (Dr. Lamott), Thelma & Louise (Max), and Nobody’s Fool (Kirk), among many others. The Cool Kids airs Fridays at 8:30 pm on ABC, right after Last Man Standing.
