On the Teen Mom 2 Season 9 episode “Cold War,” while Kailyn Lowry launches a cold war against her ex Jo Rivera after he files for child custody for their son Isaac, Chelsea Houska and her husband Cole DeBoer take the kids to her father’s cabin. There, Chelsea has a heart-to-heart conversation with her dad, Randy. Aubree’s half-sister Paislee was recently adopted by her mother Taylor’s husband Joe Leonard — but Aubree doesn’t want to talk about it yet. Aubree and Paislee have the same father, Adam Lind.
At the cabin, Chelsea tells her father, “Well, Paislee is no longer his (Adam’s) technically.” Chelsea said when she told Aubree about Paislee’s adoption, “She (Aubree) was confused and she wanted to know if Paislee was still her sister. And I think it kinda made her sad.” Randy says “I could see that. It’s confusing to me.” Aubree loves Cole but she’s not too keen on following in Paislee’s footsteps. Randy tells Chelsea, “I don’t think you should…You can’t push it. Because if you force it then she might resent (it).” Chelsea agrees but she says it’s hard on Cole, too, “because he wants it.” Teen Mom 2 airs Mondays at 9 pm on MTV.
