On the Love & Hip Hop Miami episode “Performance Anxiety”, Michelle Pooch and Amara La Negra meet up at Prince’s birthday party. Michelle tells Amara that she has something planned for her. When Michelle asks Amara what her dream date is, the first thing Amara asks is, “Is he successful?” Michelle says yes. “Is he well educated?” is her second question. Michelle nods, “In the streets, yes,” which has Amara break out laughing. When Michelle says the name Trick, Amara asks, “Trick Daddy?” as if she knows five other men named Trick. “The way he speaks about you is on a whole other level. I’d love to see him put some romance on you.” Amara says she’s never thought of the rapper that way but it might be nice to hang out with someone “who won’t stab me in the back.” Trick Daddy is 45; Amara is 27, just sayin’.
Their fun conversation is interrupted by Shay who tells Michelle that she’s been cut off by Amara. “She hurt my feelings because she thought she couldn’t be my friend because of Jojo.” Amara admits that “I’ve kinda been rethinking what I told you” and “I feel really bad that I choose Jojo’s side over Shay’s.” Amara apologizes and Shay accepts with open arms. “I have genuine love for you, Amara,” says Shay.
