In The Neighborhood episode “Welcome to the Big Payback”, when Gemma (Beth Behrs) has her car repaired at her neighbor Calvin’s (Cedric the Entertainer) shop, Calvin’s wife Tina (Tichina Arnold) insists she doesn’t need to pay for the work. Calvin disagrees. It was a $300 bill! So Calvin convinces Gemma’s husband Dave (Max Greenfield) to pay him and not tell Gemma. Dave does it but he’s not really good at lying. Meanwhile, Calvin and Tina’s sons, Malcolm (Sheaun McKinney) and Marty (Marcel Spears), go to the bar, pull out their phones and use a dating app to find single women. When approached by two live women, the brothers barely acknowledge their presence because their eyes are glued to their phones. Bartender Ernie scolds them and delivers a great line: “You’re online shopping when you’re already in the mall.”
