In the Grey’s Anatomy episode “I Walk the Line,” all hands are on deck after gunfire goes off at a parade. One of the victims is a bagpiper with La Scots Pipe Band. And if that wasn’t enough, the Dickinsons come to the hospital looking for their daughter Betty, the recovering drug addict and teen mom who’s been staying with Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) and Owen (Kevin McKidd, who directs the episode) and her baby Leo. Betty’s mother, Carol Dickinson, is portrayed by Jennifer Grey (Dirty Dancing, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off).
Betty’s father is portrayed by Kyle Secor. He’s known for his roles on The Flash (Thomas Snow aka Icicle), Veronica Mars (Jake Kane), Commander in Chief (Rod Calloway), Philly (Daniel X. Cavanaugh), City of Angels (Dr. Raleigh Stewart), Party of Five (Evan Stilman), Homicide: Life on the Street (Tim Bayliss), St. Elsewhere (Brett Johnston), and the daytime soap opera Santa Barbara (Brian Bradford), among others. Secor is also recognized for his roles in films including City Slickers (Jeff) and Sleeping with the Enemy (Fleishman). Grey’s Anatomy airs Thursdays at 8 pm on ABC, right before A Million Little Things.
