In Season 2 of Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell & Back, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay travels to Allentown, Pennsylvania to investigate Shanty on 19th. The iconic restaurant has been serving the city’s West End theater district for the past 40 years* but recently, the feuds between the restaurant’s owner Joe Tatasciore and staff have taken a toll, not only on the restaurant’s business, but on the personal lives of everyone involved.

Owner Tatsciore told his local newspaper: “It’s been a rocky road here. We could use a little help and a little experience from the professionals.” On the show, Ramsay arrives at the restaurant in disguise, as a Phantoms hockey fan with full-on beard, hat and jersey.
Ramsay will try to bring this failing 125-seat, 3500-square-foot restaurant back from the brink of disaster – all in just 24 hours. As the clock ticks down and Ramsay and his team transform this restaurant with a spectacular renovation, a fresh new menu and hope for the future. Signature cocktails, including the Shantini and 19th Street Shuffle, will slowly be introduced. Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell & Back airs Wednesdays at 8 pm on FOX, right before The Masked Singer.
