The 29-year-old sword-swallower from Moldova (an Eastern European country and former Soviet republic known for its wine vineyards), has also competed on Britain’s Got Talent (2016), Ukraine’s Got Talent (2014), Italia’s Got Talent (2013), and was a quarter-finalist on America’s Got Talent (2013). Magala moved to the U.S. (Hollywood!) in 2011. He claims his first paid job was performed on Hollywood Boulevard, where he performed a sword-swallowing act for $4.50. Magala has come a long way from Hollywood Boulevard. He went on to perform at the 2014 Winter Olympics opening ceremony in Sochi. America’s Got Talent: The Champions airs Mondays at 8 pm on NBC.
