In the Chicago Fire episode “Always a Catch,” while Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) and Severide (Taylor Kinney) find their relationship being tested, Cruz (Joe Minoso) gets a friendly call from his new girlfriend Chloe while hanging out at the Firehouse. When Cruz puts Chloe on speaker, she tells everyone that she’s on the freeway, headed to a pastry shop and she’s taking orders. But while everyone is having fun yelling their orders on speaker, Chloe is heard saying, “What is that guy doing?” which is followed by the sound of a car swerving and then crashing before the phone goes dead. Within seconds, the Firehouse siren goes off and everyone races to a massive pile-up on the freeway. Chloe is one of the injured.
Joe Cruz’s girlfriend Chloe is portrayed by actress Kristen Gutoskie. The Canadian-born actress is known for her roles on Lethal Weapon (Riggs’ girlfriend Molly Hendricks), The Handmaid’s Tale (Beth), The Vampire Diaries (Seline), Containment (Katie Frank), and Republic of Doyle (Kyla MacRury), among others. Chicago Fire airs Wednesdays at 9 pm on NBC, right after Chicago Med and right before Chicago P.D.
