Tech wiz Hannah Morris (Sarah Drew, Dr. April Kepner on Grey’s Anatomy) is the protagonist of the Lifetime movie Christmas Pen Pals. The app developer Hannah is heartbroken after her boyfriend broke up with her — and right before Christmas.
Things turn around for Hannah when she signs up for Christmas Cupid, a low-tech matchmaking service that encourages singles to fall in love via handwritten letters before they meet. Her father Ted agrees to sign up too.

Ted is portrayed by actor Michael Gross. The 6’4″ tall Yale graduate is best known for his roles as Steven Keating on Family Ties (SEE LINK ABOVE) and Burt Gummer in the Tremors movies. He’s also known for his recurring roles on Anger Management (Dr. Randy), Suits (Walter Gillis), The Drew Carey Show (Kellie’s father Don Newmark), and ER (Carter’s father), among others.
Gross will appear next on the big screen in Noelle, starring Anna Kendrick, who plays Santa’s daughter, Noelle, who’s taking over the family business. Christmas Pen Pals premieres on Lifetime on Saturday, December 15 at 8 pm. [More Lifetime movies streaming are always available.]
