On the Teen Mom: Young + Pregnant episode “The High Road,” the moms of the teen moms are doing their best to speak rationally with their daughters. While Jessica tries to encourage Brianna to go after the father of Braeson for child support, Amber talks to Lexi about her stupid bet with her high school boyfriend Kyler. Kyler told Lexi, the mother of his child, that if she leaves him alone for one day, he’ll give her a promise ring. Amber tells Lexi, “That seems like a really messed up deal.” Lexi, who’s now 17, laughs and says, “I know it’s a stupid bet but I was doing this more to show him that I’m not clingy like he says I am.”
Amber tells her daughter, “While I admire your determination to make a family for you guys, I’ve always felt like you’re willing to be walked on for it.” When Amber says “I don’t think he respect you,” Lexi disagrees and says she believes she does have his respect. Teen Mom: Young + Pregnant airs Mondays at 10 pm on MTV, right after Teen Mom OG.
