On the Teen Mom: Young + Pregnant episode “The High Road,” the moms of the teen moms and dads step up. While Jessica encourages Brianna to go after the father of Braeson for child support, Amber tells Lexi that her bet with Kyler for a promise ring is stupid. And then Ashley Jones and her fiance Bariki “Bar” Smith are visited by Bar’s mom Shenandoah “Shen” Williams. She stops by their place after visiting Bar’s brother Troy Seales, who has been charged with murder. While wearing a pink t-shirt that reads “Let’s Be Mermaids,” Shen tells Ashley she wants to start over with Ashley after Bar’s disastrous birthday party. “I know we need peace between us,” says Shen, “I know it’s going to take a while to heal, but I’m glad we’re here.” She looks at Bar and says, “If you’re happy, I’m happy.”
Shen then stands up and pulls Ashley in for a hug. Bar can’t believe what he’s seeing. While the two ladies in his life hug and cry and tell each other how much they missed each other, Bar laughs and makes a “mind blown” gesture. How long do you think this truce will last?
