On Season 6 of My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding in the episode “Gypsy Sisters Bridal Brawl,” cousins Annie and Mellie meet at a nail salon to get pedicures. When the subject of Dallas comes up (Dallas is Annie’s cousin, and Mellie’s niece), Annie says her relationship with Dallas “will never be okay” and adds, “She’s trash to me.” Keep in mind: Annie’s husband Jay is the father of Dallas’ first child. Dallas had two children after Annie and Jay got married and claims all three are Jay’s. Now Jay has left Annie and is back with Dallas. “Dallas was really jealous and she didn’t want to see Jay happy,” is how Annie sees it. So now it’s Annie and Mellie versus Dallas, Jay and Dallas’ mother Nettie. Annie Mellie have been banned from Nuckie’s bridal shower. (Nuckie is Dallas’ sister.) Got it?
However, Annie thinks the bridal party is the perfect opportunity to confront Dallas. So she and Mellie decide to crash the party and as the title of the episode indicates there will be a brawl, which is not uncommon in this family. In 2015, on Gypsy Sisters, Nellie ruined Mellie’s baby shower when she found out Mellie was considering naming her unborn child after a friend (Kayla) and not after one of her sisters. Mellie ended up naming her daughter neither Kayla nor after one of her sisters — she opted for Divinity Rose. My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding airs Saturdays at 10 pm on TLC.
