In the Below Deck episode “I’m Also a Boat Captain!”, a returning charter guest arrives while bosun Chandler Brooks is having a staff meeting. Even though chief stewardess Kate Chastain has called Chandler to tell him that the guests’ luggage is just sitting there in the main salon (when it should be in their rooms already), Chandler continues to berate his staff below deck. “Originally I said there is no hierarchy, that there’s no pecking order, but that is changing now.” While Kate starts rolling the luggage herself, Chandler is heard saying, “This is not a democracy, we just need to be functional.”
Kate calls again to find out where the team is, and Chandler (the son of a yacht captain) says he needs another five minutes for their team meeting. Kate is not happy. Below Deck airs Tuesdays at 9 pm on Bravo, right before Flipping Out.
