On Season 4 of Celebrity Family Feud, actress/country singer Jana Kramer and her family play against Oscar-nominated actor Gary Busey (The Buddy Holly Story) and his family. Kramer brings her husband Michael John Caussin, her aunt Susan, Uncle Roy, and brother Stephen Martin Kramer. Team Kramer is playing for Safe Horizon. Busey brings his wife, Steffanie Sampson Busey, his mother-in-law Sandra, sister Carol Busey Barazza, and godson Teddy Jack. Team Busey is playing for Busey Foundation for Children’s Kawasaki Disease Research. Gary and Steffanie’s young son Luke suffered from Kawasaki disease when he was 14 months old.

Kawasaki disease primarily affects children under the age of 5. The inflammation tends to affect the coronary arteries which supply blood to the heart. It can also affect a child’s lymph nodes, skin, and mucous membranes in the nose, throat and mouth. Most children (like now 8-year-old Luke Busby who makes an appearance on Celebrity Family Feud, photo below) recover fully. Aspirin (to prevent blood clots) and IV treatment (immune globulin) are often prescribed. The cause of Kawasaki disease is unknown.
The disease is named after Dr. Tomisaku Kawasaki, a Japanese pediatrician who first observed the condition in 1960. The incidence of the disease is higher in Japan than in any other country and is more frequent among children of Asian-American descent in the U.S. — although it can occur in any racial or ethnic group. Celebrity Family Feud airs Sundays at 8pm on ABC. [Related: Who Is Gary Busey’s Godson, Musician Teddy Jack on ‘Celeb Family Feud’?]
