If you’re a fan of the 2012 Lifetime movie A Mother’s Nightmare, you’re gonna love A Father’s Nightmare. In the first movie, teenager Vanessa seduced a boy in school and then wanted him dead when he dumped her. In A Father’s Nightmare, Vanessa is all grown-up and at college. This time she’s after a female, a freshman named Lisa (Kaitlyn Bernard). Vanessa is determined to manipulate Lisa, in order to get her to kill herself. When Lisa’s recently widowed father Matt (Joel Gretsch) finds out that Lisa has fallen under Vanessa’s spell, he rushes to save her before it’s too late.
Crazy roommate Vanessa is portrayed by Jessica Lowndes. The Canadian-born model, singer, and actress is known for her roles on Major Crimes (Alex Snow), Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency (Modern Jake Rainey), 90210 (Adrianna Tate-Duncan), Greek (Mandi), and in the 2015 Lifetime movie “A Deadly Adoption” with Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig. A Father’s Nightmare premieres on Lifetime on Sunday, July 22 at 8pm.
