On the last night of auditions for Season 13 of America’s Got Talent, country pop singer Hunter Price of Georgia auditioned. He was prepared to sing the Bryan Adams song “Everything I Do (I Do It For You).” But then Simon Cowell stopped Hunter midway and asked him to sing another song that didn’t sound so “generic.” Hunter sang an original song that he wrote called “Left Behind.” Cowell said it was “much better.” While Cowell doesn’t seem to buy all of Hunter’s story, he wants to see what else he can bring to the show. Hunter Price got yeses from all but one AGT judge: Howie Mandel.

[Hunter wears a Salty Crew “Chasing Tail” snapback hat]
One day prior to his second performance (the Judge Cuts) on America’s Got Talent, Hunter Price posted a photo of him wearing a Salty Crew “Chasing Tail” snapback hat (see link above) with the mysterious hashtag #SorrySteve. Salty Crew is a surfer brand, a family-run start-up out of San Diego founded by a surfer who respects the “golden age” of surfing — “before it was cool.” The idea behind the brand is to encourage people to return to the beach – to surf, fish, sail, whatever it takes to get people into the water to get “salty.” Hunter fancies himself a fisherman, btw. If Hunter’s going to wear that hat on stage, chances are he’s not singing another love song like “Left Behind.” Maybe his next original is titled “Sorry Steve.” New episodes of America’s Got Talent air Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC, right before World of Dance.
