A few seasons ago, America’s Got Talent met a Buster Keaton-like comedian who didn’t talk — Tape Face. He literally couldn’t talk because he had a strip of duct tape across his mouth. His white makeup with dark charcoal eyes and a shock of spiky hair accentuated his look and dramatic presence on stage. And Tape Face went far, gaining fans among the judges and TV audience. On the final night of auditions for this year’s AGT Season 13, the judges meet comedian Oliver Graves. He may remind viewers of Tape Face — at least the way he looks on stage.

The 6’7″ tall stand-up comedian from Los Angeles is known as the Goth Comic due to his makeup on stage (white makeup, dark eyes, lips and hair). Check out his routine in the video below. He talks about being lonely and shy. (You could tell Tape Face was lonely and shy too, and he didn’t have to say it.) Think Oliver Graves has what it takes to make it on AGT? If he hits the right emotions and makes people laugh, why not? New episodes of America’s Got Talent air Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC, right before World of Dance.
