In the Season 19 finale of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, “Remember Me,” a young woman named Lourdes Vegas (Genesis Rodriguez) takes a man named Miguel Lopez (Carlos Miranda) hostage at gunpoint. She takes him to a penthouse overlooking Central Park and ties him to a chair. He asks her why she’s doing this, he doesn’t know her. But he should remember her. Lourdes tortures Miguel and livestreams the hours of torture via a platform that makes tracking the source and location difficult. Benson (Mariska Hargitay) makes a dangerous attempt to defuse the situation. In court,Lourdes Vegas is put on the stand and questioned by attorney Santino Rojas.
Lawyer Santino Rojas is portrayed by Benito Martinez. Martinez is known for his roles on How to Get Away with Murder (A.D.A. Todd Denver, see photo below), American Crime (Luis Ssalazar), The Blacklist (Senator Diaz), House of Cards (Hector Mendoza), Sons of Anarchy (Luis Torres), and The Shield (David Aceveda), among others.
