In the Star episode “Take It or Leave It,” while Maurice (Lance Gross) causes more drama for the Midtown Sound artists, Carlotta (Queen Latifah) watches in disbelief as Star (Jude Demorest) takes advantage of an opportunity to stand out on stage. Carlotta also has to worry about her packing little sister Cassie. In this episode, she pulls out her gun when she sees Andy (Elijah Kelley) in the garage and she ain’t afraid to use it.

Cassie Brown is portrayed by singer/actress Brandy Norwood who described her character Cassie as “a little dirty” as she’s “still on the streets” and packing heat. As an actress, Brandy is known for her roles on Drop Dead Diva (Elisa), 90210 (Marissa Harris-Young), Moesha (Moesha), and in the film I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (Karla). Star airs Wednesdays at 9pm on FOX, right after Empire.
