On the Season 13 premiere of America’s Got Talent, the trio We Three auditioned for the reality TV talent competition. The three musicians are siblings (two brothers and a sister). They’re all in their twenties and come from a family of musicians. Their father was in a family band too. For their AGT audition, We Three performed an original song in honor of their mother who passed away four months after being diagnosed with cancer. The song is written from her point-of-view; words they imagine her sharing with them. We Three received a standing ovation from the audience and all four judges including Mel B who was crying. She shared that she lost her father not too long ago to cancer, too.
[Simon Cowell’s brother Tony wrote this spoof diary about his baby brother!]
Simon Cowell told We Three, “This is the start of something big here.” On the night of the premiere, We Three released the full version “Heaven’s Not Too Far” is available exclusively on their website. You can download for $0.99. New episodes of America’s Got Talent air Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC, right before World of Dance.
