The protagonist in the Lifetime movie Prescription for Danger is Ivy Fisher. The ambitious entrepreneur in her thirties is caught off guard when during a big meeting she collapses. Hoping to find out what’s ailing her, she makes an appointment with Dr. Mark Ryan. He gives her the results of her MRI — it’s not good. He tells Ivy she has a year to live. Things take a wild turn when the doctor proposes an alternative treatment option. It’s not FDA approved, nor is it legal. The tagline for the movie is “Get a second opinion” and that’s exactly what Ivy should have done! Dr. Mark is a bad man!
